I have to agree, it would be nice if the Jackman Wetlands were included in the Fraser Valley. I have spent a lot of time there the last couple months and it is a good place to find shorebirds compared to any other area I have been in the Fraser Valley. As parks go it is pretty raw and it does get overused and abused by dog owners but the Township of Langley has been working on it and opening up new areas.

Jackman Wetlands isn't in the checklist area, so it unfortunately won't count for the monthly challenge. We should really petition the province to slightly adjust the district line... we could use a reliable shorebird place for the Fraser Valley. Metro Vancouver already has enough. I totally agree with this proposal!

Fox sparrow and Dusky Flycatcher from the Chilliwack Bench Road this morning. Paul, great find on the Dusky Flycatcher. I had one at Island 22 on Friday which was a bit of a surprise. I have Townsend's Solitaire and Western Grebe to add to the list.

I see Great Horned Owl is not on the list. There was one in Ryder Lake a couple weeks back. Also from Ryder Lake: Vesper Sparrow
I can also add from Tuyttens: Lesser Scaup Wilson's Snipe Western Wood-Pewee
From Sardis Pond: Cackling Goose
From Island 22: Common Merganser
