On Tuesday Dots and I were taking one of our favorite driving tours - Chilliwack to Spence's Bridge (HW#1) then via 8 to Merritt #5 to Kamloops. Overnight in Kamloops the down 5A to Merritt and back to Chilliwack. We did bird a few spots on the way up and one good spot is near Spence's Bridge. This time we found a Kestrel nest (large hollow in a dead tree). We first noticed an adult fly from the tree and then 4 young birds. We observed them for about 10 minutes and I took a few pic's. The chicks just watched us but when the adult came back some of them retreated to the nest for food. This was a highlight of our mini-trip.
