We again have a Spotted Towhee Family with a Leucistic baby. This is the third year that we have seen a Leucistic Spotted Towhee baby in our back bushes and we can assume there is a gene trait for Leucism in the local population.

Hi Jamie We do not see any Leucistic parents. The Leucistic Spotted Towhee we had in our backyard last year began showing normal colouring by the fall. We will watch this years baby to see whether or not the same colouring change occurs.
I will keep you updated of any changes we may see.
