Havnt had a chance to add pictures to my reports, so will make a little gallery of some of the birds I took pictures off at Cheam. All are digiscoped in range from 100 yds to about 250 yds. The merlin resting between blasting around chasing dragonflies (saw him catch several!) Seven of the eight white-fronts grazing on lake water plants. Two young white-fronted geese (on the right) with an adult. Cackling geese Blue-winged teal. I suspect this is a male moulting into more easily identified feathers? A male belted kingfisher. Females have the extra rusty coloured bar below the blue one. Usually the other way around in the bird world.
