How to post photographs and images.

Since Photobucket has changed since the last instructions were made I decided to work on putting up a new guide.

So once you have created a photobucket account click the upload button.



Second step is to hit the select photos and videos button.



The third step is to find the picture you want to upload and click okay. Depending on the file size, this may take about 10-30 seconds.



Once completed hit view album.



Fifth step is to click on the picture you want to post.



Next step is to copy the IMG Code so just left click where the red is and it will say copied.



Once it is copied you go where one types out a report and right click and click on paste. That should do it.

I did this relatively quick so any critical feedback is welcomed. If anyone has any questions about how to post a picture on the site feel free to ask them. I know a few people have encountered problems posting pictures so hopefully this helps.

THIS ONE IS FOR FLICKR

Step 1. Create a Flickr account. If you need help with this please let us know

Step 2. Once a Flickr Account is created hit the Upload button on the top.

Step 3. Next, click the Choose Photos and Videos Button.

Step 4. Find the picture you want to Upload.

Step 5. Next click upload Photo, top right. Where the 41 is you can click that and title your picture. For this one I would title it Snow Bunting.

Step 6. Click Upload to Photostream. It will take a few seconds to upload.

Step 7. Once the picture is uploaded. You will be taken to your photostream. Click the picture you want to post.

Step 8. Next click on the arrow with the box as shown in this picture

You want to make sure BBCcode is highlighted. Choose the size that you want, medium works the best and then left click the text to make sure it is highlighted blue.

Step 9. Final step. When typing your report, right click and then left click paste and your picture will be put into your report.

Chris, I am not having success posting new images to Photobucket. When I click on upload. My step two window does not have the green box 'select photo's and videos'. The rest is the same as yours. What could the reason be? Any idea?

I have been trying for the last month to post photos from my flickr site without success so tonight I tried on photobucket and did it on my first try. it was so easy to do once I figured it out.

Hi Hugh,
To post a picture on this forum you do not need Facebook. That is something completely separate from a forum. The easiest way to post. Photo is to create an account on Flickr. Go to Flickr.com, and you can create an account using an email address. Once you have an account you can upload photos onto Flickr. Then you can follow Chris’s instructions above to take the link to post on the forum here.

If I understand, are you also asking about some of the terminology? An avatar is the picture next to someone’s name when they post. A thread you could think of as a topic. The replies to the topic are the posts within a thread. In this case I am creating a post in the thread Chris started. Sorry if I misunderstood you here, but I hope this helps.
