I was doing me Dragonfly surveys at the new wetland at Aldergrove Park (Gordon's Brook) on 0 ave Tuesday. On the east side of the driveway at the newly dug pond were 26 Killdeer, 3 Greater Yellow-legs, 5 Western Sandpipers and 4 Solitary Sandpipers. I guess the shorebirds are heading south again. Cheers, Denis

Thank you for mentioning this area, I have become more familiar with the Aldergrove Regional Park but I was unaware of all the work going on developing the Gordon's Brook wetlands portion. Looks like a worthwhile area to check out.
