Our yard was quite birdy today and it was nice to have some decent weather finally to go outside and enjoy it. This morning in our tree outside the window was this Hermit Thrush. This was the second time I've seen one in our yard. In the early afternoon we spotted this Townsend's Solitaire who spent most of the afternoon feeding in the yard. We have three large Red Flowering Currents in the backyard and the hummingbirds seem to prefer them more than the feeders. While we do not have a huge yard, the native plantings sure do pay off in providing habitat for the birds and other wildlife.
