088 by Henry Wall, on F 042 by Henry Wall, on FlickrlickrI am down to 3 Anna`s coming to my feeder , the second one has the most beautiful Gorget that i have seen and the only one to have Orange feathers on the top of his head. The first one is the male that spent the winter here last year, from Aug 2015 to February 2016. These two photos were taken at different distances with my Cannon Eos with a Cannon 75-300mm lens the first one is at 60 centimeters and second at 2 meters.

013 by Henry Wall, on Flickr The Male Anna`s perched in the Holly Tree . It still amazes me that these little guys thrive in the cold weather.

014 by Henry Wall, on Flickr Now that the weather has warmed i can use the 2 feeders and bring peace and harmony to my yard. I was afraid this male had not survived the cold snap because the resident male wouldn`t let him near the feeder.

Very interesting photos and the blue feathers is not something I've seen nor heard of. Possibly it's the way the light of the flash hits the feathers and/or how the lens or camera interprets it?
Thanks for sharing all your shots by the way. Great to see you have a good yard-full of them! Your photo of that male on Dec 5 is especially good. Way to get the most out of your camera!

Thanks Gord unfortunately this Hummer hasn`t come back since i took the photo. It would of been nice to get some more photos of him to see if he was a one of a kind . The adult males of all left now leaving just one young male at my feeder. I guess i will have to go to the east end of North Parallel Rd to photograph the Rufus and Anna`s.
