With this beautiful weather, I'm eagerly looking for the first hummingbird at our feeder...but nothing so far. I did get a couple of exciting birds today though. I had two goldfinches at my feeder this morning. Then this afternoon some crows alerted me to a peregrine falcon on top of our telephone pole in the front. Since it was heartily engaged in a meal, I was able to get a nice look at it. Unfortunately, I couldn't avoid seeing him tearing flesh and ripping bones apart. He had some type of bird...don't ask me what it was though He must've been pretty hungry, as I saw him eat a whole leg, foot and all. Okay, I'll spare you on the gory details. Anyway...heard there was a female painted bunting in Victoria, who knows...maybe there's more. Jeff
