here is a list of the birds in my yard in ryder lake in chilliwack: song sparrow golden-crowned sparrow winter wren house finch pine siskin chestnut-backed chickadee black-capped chickadee red-breasted nuthatch american robin cedar waxwings ruby-crowned kinglette northern flicker downy woodpecker hairy woodpecker pileated woodpecker red-breasted sapsucker yellow-rumped warbler orange-crowned warbler cooper's hawk steller's jay dark-eyed junco spotted towhee bushtit brown creeper golden-crowned kinglette these were seen on sept. 30th in the late afternoon-not a bad list.

Id had two steller's jays and three dark-eyed juncos yesterday. Dont get much in my sub-division. That's a nice list! Oh Ive been hearing lots of yellow-rumped warbers flying over my place (and everywhere else) too last week and a bit. Wonder why they come so much later than the bulk of the warblers.

The variety of birds at my feeders is starting to pick up thanks to the snow up in the hills. Here is a list of species I've seen today, here in Harrison Mills - getting in practise for "Project Feeder Watch" which starts next week.
