Be on the lookout for banded American dippers in your travels. There is a SFU study being done on the Vedder River for the last 3 or 4 years. They are banding their birds and are most interested in hearing about sightings of banded birds.
The bands to look for are colour coded ie white over red on the bird's right leg, blue over metal on the left leg and so forth.
