Today at East Sector park in Harrison along McPherson Road was a Clay-coloured and Brewer's Sparrow. Looking at my pictures this evening I'm wondering if there may have been a second Brewer's here too. There was also a White-throated Sparrow here.
At the boat launch parking lot at the Lagoon was another Brewer's Sparrow.
Photos to come but wanted to get the word out if anyone's interested.
The ones at East Sector Park were very entertaining.
Here is the Brewer's.
This guy looked a bit different in the field and also popped up where I didn't expect to see it considering where I thought it had flown to after my previous look at it. The photo, such as it is, seem to show a streakier bird.
My favourite part is when the 'first' Brewer's joined the Clay-coloured Sparrow in a shrub. How's that for some good side-by-side comparison?
Also here was a White-throated Sparrow
At Harrison Lagoon near the boat launch parking lot was a slightly more cooperative Brewer's Sparrow. At one point it went down to the lake for a drink!
Good birding to all! It's Christmas time for us birders.
