I am wanting to print some of my photos of birds for hanging in my home. I like the style that is done commercially on canvas and I am aware that both Costco and London Drugs offer this service. I am looking for people to share their experiences with this process. I have processed thousands of photos for use on my computer but it has been a long time since I actually had anything printed out at a larger size, maybe 12" x 18" or larger. Hopefully you could share your experience or advice on doing this. Thank you Nick

For someone closer but more money and good quality try www.vancouveroncanvas.com

I've seen some work printed on Giclee and was most impressed with it.

Thank you Len, I had not heard of either of those companies and they do give more information so I can understand what I would be buying better. Still researching it before I make up my mind.

Have a look at Posterjack. They are out of Toronto. I have done 4 canvas prints from them and other enlargements and like them a lot. Hint: they are always offering 25-40 % off sales. Go to their web site and create an account but do not print anything. They will start emailing offers to you.

I too will be looking at this method of printing more closely. I have a nice Epson photo printer that i use but canvas prints seem to be the way to go. Thanks everyone!

If you guys have time I'd enjoy seeing the photos you've selected to be printed.
From some of the Gilcee prints I've seen it was amazing with the endless variety of composition that was done. No need to settle for the basic 3:2 as it comes off the camera. Playing with it, depending on the subject, can produce very impressive images in my opinion. Brings a new element of art to the photography hobby.

I appreciate all the suggestions, I have gone to the various websites and I have yet to settle on one. I will need to reprocess the photos I will have printed as I have processed most of my photos for posting on the web and they will need to be larger. Presently I have just "upgraded" to Windows 10 and gone to Photoshop Elements 14 and my workflow is kind of mess up. So once I get sorted out I will be looking more closely at getting this done.

There is a place that prints really nicely, just down the road from where I'm staying in China. Though that may be a bit out of the way.

I finally got a canvas print done through Posterjack. They did have a sale on when I ordered it and I got 25% off. I think they did a very good job and I would order from them again but they use FedEx for shipping. I do not like the way FedEx treats it's customers and I have had bad experiences with them in the past as I did this time again. If you could have the print shipped to a business address you might get better service from FedEx.
