FYI> I did a little research and here are the sightings (from ebird) for Tropical Kingbirds in the last month with approximate dates;
Oct.16-Victoria Oct 16-Richmond Oct 18-Tofino Oct.30-Angus-Campbell, Abby Oct 31- Mt. Waddington, Lighthouse Nov. 4-Prince Rupert Nov 5 Blackies Spit
Two of the sightings are by our Fraser Valley group. That's more Kingbirds than Scrub Jays. It appears the birds are following the coast.

Len
The first reports came from Cape Scott Lighthouse on Sept 27 and Scarlett Point Lighthouse on Oct 2. The latter report by lighthouse keeper Ivan Dubinsky was followed by a second bird. Ivan still has 1 bird there Nov 6! 10 reports in total !

The Tropical Kingbird was there again today at the same location. It seems to go down low around the barns but invariably returns to their typical prominent perches on wires and other areas out in the open. I went by yesterday around 2 or so, and I drove and walked up and down the road with no sign of it. I'll have to stop by again.

Tropical Kingbird persists at 541 Angus Campbell Road. The bird would disappear from time to time for about ten minutes then reappear on the wires. I was in the area from 10:00-11:30 but only saw the bird from 10:45-11:30. There was a gorges Peregrine Falcon perched back of the area in the big cottonwoods and 3 Tundra Swans on McDermott Road in a flack of Trumpeters. One of the Tundra Swans did not have the typical yellow dot on it's bill. Thanks for the great bird John and all, Denis

Hi all,
On November 9 2015 at 11:00 am the TROPICAL KINGBIRD was in the yard at 541 Angus Campbell Road. It was perched on top of the weeping willow tree. Other birds seen included a MERLIN, YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER, 30 WESTERN MEADOWLARKS that flew to the field east of Angus Campbell and a dark phase RED-TAILED HAWK along Angus Campbell north of Vye Road.
Good Birding,
Dan Tyson Langley, BC

Paul, sorry to hear of your poor luck so far. My timing was good this afternoon as it showed up right at the road.

When I did a survey of the western part of Sumas Prairie I checked for the Tropical Kingbird and found it again at the same farm on Angus Campbell (about 11:30 am). John Vooys

I checked today but no luck. Not that it means anything as this guy seems to have a place it likes to go which is out of sight so it could be there still. I hope it is doing ok in this cool weather wherever it is.

I've stopped by another few times, when I have been that way, with no sign of the bird (including today). I'd bet it is gone by now, though it could be hiding.
