I'm posting this on my Dad's behalf. My dad found a new Lesser Black-backed Gull on Annis Rd late this morning! Our second record for the checklist area. More details and pictures to come!

Jamie, thanks for passing along! A pleasant surprise at the corner of Highway 1 and Annis Road. At first I was suspecting a different bird as it seemed a bit different looking from the Sumas bird. Even wondered if it's a third winter bird for a bit. Head streaks seemed different and the white in the wing tips small and the bird seemed to be a smaller specimen overall. But it's been over a month since I've seen it last so it may have changed a bit at least pattern-wise. It's the more likely scenario to be the same bird but one never knows. Will be checking again tomorrow morning! It was not there long and took off when I was not looking and I didnt see where it went.

Me and my dad went for a drive this afternoon around East Chilliwack, looking for the Lesser Black-backed Gull. There were a couple hundred gulls at the corner of the highway and Annis Rd but no LB Gull. There was also a big flock of about 1000 gulls at McGuire and Banford. They were very far out, unfortunately. We scoped them out but didn't see it but it could've been near the back of the flock. I hope we can check tomorrow after church!
