Twice in the last week I have heard (and briefly seen) yet another Catbird along Maria Slough. This morning I had one about 200 meters downstream of the Bailey bridge near Cuthbert Road. There may be more of these guys around than I had previously thought.

Nice going Murray. It seems like most of the Catbirds in our area our on the north side of the river. You and Gary saw the two on Seabird Island now this one and there are usually a few pairs at Eagle Point too. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few more pairs around Nicomen slough.
Certainly a good year for this species in our area.
