Started off at the west side of the airport. A few Yellow Warblers were singing and some Warbling Vireos were present. There were two Chipping Sparrows on the road feeding. A few swifts flew overhead, mostly Vaux's but some Black.

Went to visit Jack. Had a nice chat with him. There was a Northern Harrier over his fields. I wonder if it is breeding nearby? Near one of his composts a sparrow flew onto a path. Turned out to be a Brewer's. Best looks I have got of one. It flew before I could get a picture though. In a large patch of grass I estimated around 15 Lazuli Buntings. Among them was the Indigo Bunting.

Heard my first Red-eyed Vireo of the year. Also saw a large flock of Canada Geese.

Good outing and good job on that Indigo Bunting and Brewer's Sparrow. I've noticed that Harrier a few times as well. They did breed in the valley as I understand it but due to a change in mowing fields, these birds do not have the habitat they need.
