A very brief look today did not produce the Rustys. Did see a couple Yellow-rumped Warbler (Audubon's) and I think an Orange-crowned as well but did not get conclusive looks. A few Ruby-crowned Kinglets still kicking about as well.

The pair of Rusty Blackbirds were at Island 22 again in the same area as before around mid afternoon. Listen for their call notes as I did not see them at first until they flew up from the swamp a few minutes later. Would have missed them otherwise.

Hi folks:
Before working a shift at WBU in Chilliwack at 10am, I visited Island 22 to possibly see the Rusty Blackbirds. It was raining light to medium. There were no signs of the Rusties. I went back following work around 4:30pm, experiencing virtually no rain, and again, no Rusties. I plan to visit again sometime.
Looked along south equestrian fence- southwest corner- in and around swampy areas

Dave Beeke was there just now and he reports some bird activity but no Rusty Blackbirds or American Robins.
They've been most consistent in the afternoons it seems. Glad you tried for them, Damion! Good luck on your next try. It's a great birding site; you'll never know what you'll run into there.

Thanks for the feedback and info Gord!
Hold on! I got the sense that there may have been some blackbirds mixed in with the Am Robins way up in a tree yesterday??? Too far away to tell, and with a bright, cloudy sky. Damion Wild Birds Unlimited

Damion, it's definitely possible. When I observed them, they dropped behind the slough after a few minutes of observation. They then popped back up and landed in a tree close by. There is a decent amount of habitat they can use, that isn't in the park.
Good luck next time if you decide to go.
