The list is updated. I also added Vaux's Swift which I saw on Jesperson Dyke today. I tried for a Lazuli Bunting to see if a late one was there but no luck.
Amazing start to the month so far with 92 species!

While fishing out on the Fraser this morning I observed a few birds of interest. The first were both Violet -green and Northern Rough-winged Swallows flying low and taking advantage of a mayfly hatch. Next came 4 small ducks flying upstream about 3 feet off the deck. They turned out to be Blue-winged Teal. Then came a high-flying shorebird which I still haven't been able to identify. It was fairly large (larger than a Greater Yellowlegs and smaller than a Marbled Godwit) It flew aimlessly about, calling the whole time. The call was a rather plaintiff, single syllable whistle. Without my binoculars I couldn't see much detail but I was left with the impression of a rather medium length bill. I couldn't see any identifying wing pattern either (as in Willet for example). So bottom line is I just don't know. Later in the day I spotted my first for Agassiz, a Mourning Dove, sitting on the wires down along Limbert Road.

Was just looking at the list....notice there is no Bald Eagle - there have been several over here, out on the flats. Also, was in Manning on Sunday and saw Spruce Grouse and a 3 Toed Woodpecker and I have quite a few Purple Finch at my feeders, including a very young fledgling today!
