A trip to Manning saw a good number of mountain species. Barrows Goldeneye, Cassins Finch, Red and White-winged Crossbills we’re fairly numerous, Mountain Chickadee and Pine Grosbeaks also showed themselves. Quite afew Siskins and Crossbills were struck and killed by cars. I think they like the salt and grit! Ed Klassen

Ed, some good winter finches! Always too bad about the ones struck by cars. Out of curiosity where was the Cassin Finch?

Chris the Cassins Finch were seen at Sunshine valley, Alison Pass and near the Manning Park lodge(25)!
