I did a quick jaunt through Sumas Prairie this afternoon. I stopped on Fadden road near the north edge of the hop farm. A large flock of White-Crowned Sparrows was feeding on the grass and repeatedly flying to hide the blackberries. While they were perched I found one young Harris's sparrow!
Also nearby were a couple Western Meadowlarks a Yellow-Rumped Warbler. On Marion I found a single Pipit.
