The other day Gabi posted that she had seen 3 Ruddy Ducks at Wellband Creek Park. I dropped by one day but did not see any but I checked again today and I found a Ruddy Duck male and female pair and a close friend a Bufflehead female. While I have seen them at Mill Lake during the winter I did not think any remained local during the late spring and summer. Nice photos, Nick. It's not common to see them still now and those are likely some late migrants heading inland still.
