A Steller's jay stuffing himself with as much as he can carry to stash somewhere for later eating. There must be at least 8 peanut halves in his beak and pouch!

Nods to Dave, the one I pictured previously, had 2 whole peanuts "in the shell", and was trying to stuff another one down his throat, when it fell and he finally gave up---where the heck do they put them?--Al

Looking at more pictures from that day, here's a shot of the jay on his return from taking the big hoard of peanuts. The mud on his beak must indicate he buried them for eating later if food becomes scarce. A lot of corvids (Jays, crows etc) like to stash things. Nuthatches and chickadees, ones that come to mind off the top, will do so as well.
