-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A fellow that we know named Wayne, pointed out a Red-necked Phalarope at the GBHNR. It was seen from the main bridge looking east near the right edge of the shoreline. It was very close to the bridge several times while we were there. It looked very happy, finding lots of insects so it might still be there.

Nice !
I was delighted to have found a pair at Reifel last month. One thing that I'm confused about is the fact they sport winter plumage in summer. However around the same time I took my photos someone else had just posted photos (from Tunkwa Lake IIRC) of them in striking reddish breeding plumage.

Nice find Butterfly!
She was there at 6pm. In the middle of the small lake east of the bridge. Looks like it will be there tomorrow.

We noticed the streaks in the bird and agree with Gord that it is a juvenile. Thanks for pointing that out Gord.
