Just a few minutes ago I saw and photographed a Prairie Falcon on Chilliwack Central Road. It was in the big open area west of Prest Road. I watched it get flushed from its perch on a fence post by a eagle and fly to where it briefly landed on a pole next to the road. Got good views of it's dark arm(wing)pits.
Nice bird to round out the January Bird List Challenge! ;D ;D

could this be them again? This is just up from chilliwack central on Gibson and Prest about 2:30pm today.

Linda, I think those are Red-tailed Hawks based on fat wings, wing pattern etc. Good eyes to spot those guys up on the towers!
